Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks
Working as part of a team to support the development and delivery of individualised, person-centred support plans
Respectfully assisting clients with meals and hydration to ensure a safe, dignified, and positive experience
Promoting independence and confidence by encouraging clients to participate in tasks and activities, supporting them to do things with you rather than for them
Building positive, respectful relationships with clients by recognising what is important to them, while supporting their health, wellbeing, and safety
Supporting clients to make informed choices about their lifestyle, routines, and daily activities in line with their support plans
Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in a personal care or support worker role, with the ability to work independently and without direct supervision
Strong personal care and support skills aligned with best practice and appropriate to community-based and supported living environments
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with clients, families, and care teams
Effective time management and organisational skills to manage workloads and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
Demonstrated understanding of supporting individuals living with dementia, disability, and complex needs, including behaviours of concern
Senior First Aid Certificate
